Abstract :
An experimental study on looping formation by using high-speed video analysis is presented. Image processing such as histogram equalization and image subtraction were used to detect changes in a series of images with the same scene. The locations of the moving tool were obtained by computing the normalized cross-correlation of the tool template and one of image sequence. Affine transformation of a digital image sequence was used to analyze the deformation of wire configuration during looping process. By analyzing the video data, translation, rotation and scaling were applied to give a deformation characterization of wire configuration.
