Abstract
A simple design of observers for the range identification problem in perspective vision systems is given based on the nonlinear contraction theory and synchronization. Semi-global exponential convergence to the object coordinates is achieved. In the presence of measurement noise, synchronization of a group of observers with the perspective vision system is used to obtain a better performance.
