Abstract :
The natural disaster forecasting data are produced by modeling computation and different data analyzing software. Only processed and visualized by computer can they be understood and used easily by scientists, government managers, and common people. In this paper, the natural disaster forecasting data processing and visualization technology on web is studied, which includes the single point observing data, the remote sensing data and regional modeling computation data. The data is processed on the application server of the web architecture and visualized in two-dimensional and three-dimensional style. The achievement of this paper is used in the China Digital Ocean Prototype System for the processing and visualization of the storm tide disaster forecasting data. The paper is based on an ongoing research project for the development of an ocean observing information system for the Taiwan Strait that will facilitate the prevention of ocean disasters.
