Abstract :
Radon transform is well studied both in the field of both image analysis and computer tomography. But the projection data acquisition system is better described by the divergent beam transform. In this paper, after reviewing the mathematical models of the two transforms we show the relationship between their sinograms. Utilizing this relationship, we propose an algorithm for approximating the sinogram from one to another by moving Date elements. It can be shown that the algorithm does not involve floating point arithmetic calculators, and the whole computation can be easily parallelized.
