Abstract :
Aim at the problem of DOA (Direction Of Arrival) estimation for targets, a novel polynomial rooting algorithm based on signal subspace is proposed in this paper. The proposed method constructs the polynomial coefficient from the signal subspace, and then the DOA of the targets can be obtained through polynomial rooting. It is easy to construct the polynomial coefficient of the proposed method, which is capable to estimate M DOAs from M roots only. Therefore, comparing with the Root-MUSIC, the proposed algorithm has smaller computational complexity. The correctness and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified by computer simulation results.
