Abstract
Highly integrated 77 GHz SiGe-radar sensors with dielectric lenses as focusing element are perfectly suited for the demand of a high performance but yet cost effective radar sensor and may be a key feature for the availability of such systems in all vehicle classes. In this contribution amplitude and phase distributions of the dielectric lenses are analyzed with respect to their effects on angular measurements and a beamforming concept with switchable transmit (TX) beams is presented.
