Abstract :
A novel compact microstrip dual-band filter based on dual-band microstrip-DGS (Defected Ground Structure) resonators is proposed. Each dual-band resonator is composed of an open-loop microstrip resonator coupled to an open-loop-shaped DGS resonator. The coupling degree is mainly controlled by means of their vertical alignment. The filter structure consists of dual-band resonators coupled by means of the microstrip resonators. A WiFi-PCS dual-band filter is designed, fabricated and measured using the proposed approach.
