Abstract :
A novel design of band-stop and band-pass filters is introduced. These filters are based on stepped conductors or stepped slots in iris which play a role of the filter sections. The step on straight wall-to-wall conductor (vertical or horizontal) provides a rejection resonance and the step on wall-to-wall slot provides a transmission resonance within the single-mode band of a rectangular waveguide.
