Abstract :
In this paper, some analysis for thrust characteristic of a robot fish with vertical phase differences have been performed. To analyze the thrust performance of a robot fish with vertical phase differences, some analytical method was proposed using simplified method and energy equations. The analytical results show that thrust characteristic of a caudal fin with vertical phase differences is different from that of a plate type caudal fin.
