  • Abstract
Video on demand (VOD) service is a popular research issue in recent years. Previously, most methods are designed to deliver a linear video-based. As the demand and expectation of the users, nonlinear video produces consequently. For example, a live broadcast of the baseball game often provides all aspects of screen shots from different angles for the needs of the users. This is a non-linear video application mode which the user can choose which scene they want to watch. This paper proposes a similar harmonic scheduling method for broadcasting non-linear videos. The user can select different video segments to watch the whole film. That will increase the user´s will and reduce the time for receiving the video. The proposed similar harmonic method (SHM) significantly reduces the waiting time and the buffer space requirements as compared to the CCB3 method.
