Abstract :
We propose and demonstrate an electro-optic Bragg deflection modulator using periodically poled MgO:LiNbO3 for the first time. It was found that annealing the device after the poling process was effective for reducing the relaxation. The maximum deflection efficiency as high as 97% was obtained for the violet-blue light. Also, the modulation of the UV light was accomplished.
