Abstract :
Innovative program and eye-catching picture could not be the only factors leading to a successful electronic game. How to insinuate emotional factors into these games and bring the players with a sense of emotional satisfaction also values a lot. By exemplifying and comparing the emotional factors of electronic games issued in Chinese markets, this paper argues that Chinese electronic games design should be explored from four aspects: background setting, plot setting, role image and detail handling, and the design and development of Chinese electronic games should take consideration of both local culture and the aesthetic disposition of Chinese people, and only by doing so can designers create the games that evoke a favorite experience and thus meet the emotional needs of the games players.
