Abstract :
The application of multimedia technology in college foreign language teaching is indeed an absolutely new approach to foreign language learning and it has changed the traditional teaching mode. The multimedia technology provides the subjectivity teaching of foreign language with strong technical support and also is an important program in college foreign language teaching reform. This paper reflects on the traditional foreign language teaching, and introduces and defines the concept of subjectivity teaching. The paper not only discusses the strategies to implement subjectivity teaching of college foreign languages based on multimedia technology but employs an empirical research study as well. The paper draws the conclusion that the new teaching mode discussed in this paper is the essential element to guarantee the students´ subject status, their learning subjective initiative and creativity.
