Abstract
With the popularity of mobile application, the conflicts of Bluetooth devices power consumption have become increasingly prominent during the data transfer process. Therefore, this paper proposes a policy which can reduce the power consumption of Bluetooth device, referred as RPC. The RPC judges the state of equipment based on state machine of Bluetooth specification. Moreover, according to the specific transmission of data, the RPC utilizes the setting of scan window size and role switch procedure to reduce the unnecessary power consumption of Bluetooth device. The simulation results show that our policy can reduce the power consumption about 20% in comparison of the standard Bluetooth communication processes. Furthermore, the end to end latency is reduced effectively.
