  • Abstract
Evaluation of in vivo microcirculation via the orthogonal polarization multi-spectral imaging and multi-spectral fusion is presented. The orthogonal polarization multi-spectral imaging technique is achieved by combination of the orthogonal polarization spectral imaging and the multi-spectral technique. As an improvement to the orthogonal polarization spectral imaging, the orthogonal polarization multi-spectral imaging can readily acquire images under multiple selected wavelengths, which are then combined into a higher quality image by using the multi-spectral fusion technique. A new improved microcirculation imaging system is constructed by virtue of the orthogonal polarization multi-spectral imaging method. Experimental results show that this new approach can significantly enhance reliability and quality of the evaluation of in vivo microcirculation.
