Abstract :
China is a country where natural disasters happen frequently, and the losses caused by natural disasters have offset the great wealth accumulated by the construction of China´s economy, and has become an impediment to the sustained and stable development of China´s economy to a certain extent. Through analyzing, the article concludes that the occurrence of natural disasters is not conducive to the growth of China´s economy according to production function, and in the last ten years, the annual growth rate of the economy has been affected by 0.29 percent on average because of the occurrence of natural disasters according to the empirical analysis based on Harrod-Domar model. The article suggests to reduce the impact of natural disasters on economic growth by increasing the investment in fixed assets and decreasing the replacement investment in disaster losses.
