Abstract :
Constantly rearranging global network is the key for Multinational Corporations(MNCs) to survive against the radically altered environment, this paper will explore the right timing and means of deploying the global network by working the elusive external environment into the framework of Organizational Life Cycle(OLC). The previously established constructs regarding strategic role, networkable resources and capabilities are integrated into the framework of OLC to work out the "Lifespan Map for Global Networking" in which MNCs can position themselves and develop competences accordingly. Finally, ten propositions are suggested to build up theories regarding the lifespan approach of global networking but further quantitative proof are necessary to back up those exploratory theories.
