  • Abstract
Now-a-days efficient energy management has become very crucial. Fossil fuel is exhaustible and its use is discouraged because of its adverse effect on climate change, Nuclear power is also not suitable because of safety and security concerns, on the other hand the use of renewable energy is also not yet feasible for mass production, so we have to find a way to manage our energy more efficiently. In this paper we are proposing low cost Micro controller (MCU) based design for efficient energy saving by controlling the power flow for light and fan loads and by cutting off the standby power consumption of loads automatically. We also described a smart home solution by which we can remotely monitor and control our home appliances.
