Abstract
Computer-Assisted Language Learning has been very popular recently, especially when the internet becomes available for most people. Computer and the internet science are closely jointed together. Though it has its own advantages, there are many disadvantages of computer using that both the teachers and the learners should keep in mind. Computer and the internet are just tools to facilitate teaching and learning. Teachers should not depend on the technology to improve learners´ language competence. Computers are also too rigid for learners to learn a so flexible thing as language. It may also distract the learners. Thus, when using computer in language teaching and learning, teachers must play a main role of helping learners.
