Abstract :
The evolutions after the disturbance, namely transient stability, power flow response and generation re-dispatch, ware defined as vulnerability analysis stages. A set of indices for describing intensity and impact scope of power grid vulnerability was established from the viewpoint of transient potential energy accumulation and transmission line´s margin respectively. The proposed algorithm gives prominence to the principal issues of different stages and can be used to identify the critical lines and vulnerability level of important transmission sections. New England benchmark system was simulated to verify the effectiveness of methods. The proposed functions have been well integrated in the Power Dispatch Visualization Platform (PDVP) developed by Sichuan University.
