Abstract :
Professor Demir´s keynote will give an overview of biomedical engineering (BME) education and research and how BME advances both engineering and life sciences. She will focus on the interdisciplinary nature of the research and how the future engineers need to be developed for the BME workforce. She will address the importance of innovation in the field and summarize challenges for the future of engineering and BME.
