Abstract
Gait analysis computerized methods are used primarily for evaluation of the patients with neuromusculoskeletal deficit. The paper emphasizes the importance of extending the application of these methods in the field of lower limb prosthetics in order to optimize the fitting process and the amputee´s gait. In authors´ opinion, the basic idea in the prosthetic field is that the quality must be measured not only through the technical performances of the prosthetic system but mainly through the performances the wearers get in the daily use of the system.
