Abstract :
Energy is the major factor for the development of Bangladesh and the energy production is mainly dependence on fossil fuel but the resources of fossil fuel is limited and its using results in global warming. Wind energy is a non-polluting cost-effective and the fastest growing renewable energy source to provide a safe world to the future generation. There is a great potential to use wind energy in Bangladesh especially in coastal areas. This paper presents a study of wind data at different locations and the data is collected from Bangladesh Centre for Advance Studies, Bangladesh Meteorological Department, Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and Local Government Engineering Department.
