Abstract
Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) echo simulator plays an important role in the development, debugging and performance evaluation of radar system. In this paper, an airborne bistatic SAR echo simulation algorithm based on CUDA architecture is proposed. Then a parallel computing platform with GPUs controlled by CPU threads is presented to achieve the echo simulator. The results show that the speed of the echo simulator based on Multi-GPU is 300 times faster than CPU. Multi-GPU platform has the advantage of computing parallelism, which greatly improves the speed of SAR signal processing.
