  • Abstract
Next generation optical networks have to deal with four major areas of interdependency between optical technologies and network architecture: (1) the increase of capacity and improvement of efficiency (2) the optimization of traffic structure; (3) the optimization of architecture and topology (4) the minimization of complexity.
