  • Abstract
    Assessment is one of the abled service provided in learning process. It act as an essential element for the effectiveness in learning process. Even the Learning Management System offers support for it. We have designed and implemented the assessment of e-documents submitted by the students and added to this, we also support assignments which are been tested automatically and evaluated. It also includes assignments in programming languages or any other formal notations. In this paper, we talk about the service-oriented approach for automatic assessments of programming assignments, its design and implementation. PASS is Programming Assessment System which is used for automatic assessment of programming assignments. The main advantage of this automatic assessment is that we can combine even other multitude of programming languages as well as formal notations. It is so-called as backend. The features of this assessment of programming assignments can be easily interfaced. We also report about the practical use of the implemented software components.
