Abstract
Software as a Service (SaaS) the most important flavour of cloud computing can be used for providing various Business solutions. In real world Several Businesses had successfully implemented this concept. This paper provides the Imagineering thought of using SaaS implementation of cloud in academic arena. The universities can provide on demand service for using software´s by providing unique cloud where software´s used by students in their curriculum can be given as a service. The affiliated academic institutions are freed from purchasing and maintaining all software´s. The Universities can levy pay per use charge for the usage to the affiliated academic institutions. Many schools in abroad implemented this concept but encountered less Return on investment problem. This paper propose solution on how the SaaS of cloud can be successfully implemented in universities and how to overcome the problem of less Return on Investment.
