Abstract
This book covers an amazing amount of material at a useful depth and solid theoretical foundation. The book is set up for teaching as each chapter has examples and problems. One of the endearing aspects of the book is that most chapters flow in roughly the same manner from fundamentals to applications to design methodology to examples. it contains 13 chapters and 12 appendices. Both analog and digital circuits are included, although the digital circuits mostly relate to supporting optical communication systems with multiplexers and demultiplexers. In both analog and digital cases, there is a lot of fundamental information on devices and basic circuitry. The circuit techniques demonstrated in this book can be used at other frequencies and with other device technologies but do not expect to find a detailed analysis of a 30-GHz, 4-W pHEMT power amplifier in this book. There is a lot to recommend this book.
