Abstract :
Effect of dehumidification in the horizontal spirally coiled tube is investigated. The spirally coiled tube is fabricated by bending an 8.00 mm diameter straight tube into a spiral-coil of different turns. The rate of dehumidification increases along the length of the spiral coil. This is because the dehumidification in the curved tube strongly depends on the behavior of the secondary flow. The secondary flow in curved tube is caused by the centrifugal force. This force affects the flow pattern of air in the spiral coil and disturbs the humidity of the system. Moreover the dehumidification results obtained from the spirally coiled tube is proved to be higher than that of the straight tube.
