Abstract :
In general battery is a device which consists of an electrolyte which is kept in contact with electrodes. The ion exchange between the electrodes and electrolytes will enhance the liberation of electrons and thus will produce electricity. Here in this project batteries were made with cement, treated zinc dust, manganese di oxide, self-curing gent (poly ethylene glycol), activated charcoal and water. These batteries have liquid electrolyte in the form of pore water. Addition of self-curing agent makes the moisture present always. This enhances the mobility of ions and increases the ion exchange. The specimens were casted in foam sheet moulds and after observing results were concluded.
