Abstract :
Thin films of SrAl2O4:Eu,Dy were prepared by a pulsed ion-beam evaporation method on Si single crystal, soda lime glass, stainless steel and polyethylene substrates at room temperature. In the XRD patterns for the thin films, crystallized SrAl2O4:Eu,Dy phases were detected in all thin films deposited on the substrates including polyethylene. From these results, we have successfully developed a novel thin film deposition method to prepare crystallized thin films on low-melting-point substrates.
