Abstract
Electron beam transport is being studied as a means of obtaining high-dose, small-area irradiation from multimodule bremsstrahlung generators. Both grad-B and Z-discharge transport are investigated. Novel methods of obtaining beam compression and beam overlap with grad-B transport have been demonstrated. Efficient Z-discharge transport of high-current beams has been demonstrated for the first time.
