Abstract :
In the development of the x-ray laser, it is expected that uniform high temperature high-density plasmas may be instantaneously generated by using a thin foil target, without the loss of energy by heat conduction inside the target. Here, we present the numerical results of the formation and the expansion of the plasmas due to the irradiation of the ultrashort pulse laser onto a thin foil target.
