Abstract :
The paper presents investigation results for the high-power pulse sharpening in the case of the two-cascade electric explosion of wires. The classic two-cascade circuit allowed reduction of pulse duration from ~100 μs to 80 ... 120 ns. The overvoltage factor was measured to be 68. Experiments showed the first cascade of electrically exploded wires to partially shunt the second-cascade current.
