Abstract :
A new version of the regime of electron trapping is investigated for various types of mm-wave electron masers with a weakly/moderately relativistic electron beams. The use of this regime can simultaneously provide high efficiency and very weak sensitivity to the spread in electron velocity. In addition, there is also a possibility to achieve a broadband frequency tuning in amplifier schemes.
