Abstract
The high power density ion beam action on metal target with perturbed surface was computer simulated. A considerable change of stresses structure in undersurface layer of target due to micro-roughness of irradiated surface was detected. The performed research let us conclude, that the surface perturbation and attached stresses can play important role in a radiation-induced modification of target substance.
