Abstract
There has been considered a scheme of magnetic compression in which magnetized D-T plasma is created in reverse Z-pinch. powered with current from EMG, and the next compression is executed by accelerated explosive of heavy liner system. The process of magnetized plasma formation is simulated numerically in 2D geometry in approximation of one-temperature magnetic hydrodynamic. There has been shown the possibility of reaching temperatures of more than 100 electron volts at realized parameters of current source (amplitude ~6 MA, at rise time ~0.5 μs) in plasma with density ~1 μg/cm3 on the base of helical EMG with explosive current breaker (ECB).
