  • Abstract
This paper presents the results of a simple simulation of the azimuthal magnetic field diffusion in an imploding double shell Z-pinch. To calculate the currents through the inner and outer shells, circuit equations are used which take into account the inductances and resistances of the shells and their mutual inductance. As a first approximation, the shell resistance was assumed to be independent of time. The simulation predictions and their comparison with some experimental data are discussed.
