Abstract
This paper presents a low noise current mode instrumentation amplifier for low frequency temperature sensing applications. The circuit utilizes a positive second generation current conveyor (CCII+) as a basic building block. Nested chopping technique is used to totally cancel output offset voltage and eliminate 1/f noise. The amplifier is designed in 0.18μm CMOS process. Post-layout simulations on the extracted circuit net-list provide an equivalent input referred noise of 20nV/√Hz, a 0.582μV offset and a CMRR of 110dB. The power consumption is 420μW at ±1.65V.
