Abstract :
In order to hanker for an antenna with very lower profile feature at the L-band, a planar comb-shaped antenna is proposed. The electrical parameters, such as voltage standing-wave ratio and input impedance, related to size of comb-dents have been investigated. Some empirical equations on these parameters have been derived by using straight line approximation method statistically. Geometry of this structure has been optimized by using full wave analysis. Finally, a fabricated sample is measured to verify the design. Results are in very good agreement with simulation.
