Abstract :
In this work, an application of the “generalized equivalent cable bundle method” (GECBM) for modeling electromagnetic (EM) emission of complex cable bundles in an automobile is presented. The whole model consisting of an automobile and a cable bundle composed of large number of cables is properly reduced by using the GECBM. Then the method of moments (MoM) is employed for calculation of far and near fields around the cable bundle. Some numerical results of the complete and reduced models are compared and good agreements demonstrate the viability of this method.
