Abstract
A numerical technique is introduced to analyze the multilayered printed circuit board (PCB) in this paper. A stepped impedance model of the PCB has been set up. Using the alternating direction implicit (ADI) scheme combining with pseudospectral time-domain (PSTD) method, meander lines, multisection coupled lines, and multilayered dielectric materials, have been investigated. The ADI-PSTD solver is adopted to describe the whole structure, which couples solid-state device modeling and full-wave electromagnetic analysis. Simulated results match very well with the design.
