Abstract :
In wideband radar target identification, it is necessary to test or simulate targets´ wideband scattering response in form of step-frequency sweeping to build target signature library. In pulsed radar in field, however, targets´ wideband scattering response is normally measured using transient wideband waveform. In this paper, the expression of transient wideband scattering response is derived and the simulation analysis of distortions with different target dimension is conducted.
