Abstract :
The Intensity of magnetic field sources is characterised by their magnetic moments: dipole, quadrupole, octopole etc. A dipole moment has the greatest weight among them; in practice it is preferred to measure this moment. The dimension of a dipole magnetic moment is Am2. In case of a homogeneous magnetisation of a field source, this moment is related to a magnetisation by a simple relation M =JV, where J is a magnetisation and V is the volume of the source. When the dipole moment is missed or compensated, quadrupole and octupole magnetic moments become to be an object of interest. In the frames of magnetic clearness studies, following points are usually analysed and improved: methods and means of measuring magnetic moments of objects, of demagnetization of objects and of neutralisation of residual magnetic moments of objects, methods of design and manufacturing techniques of non-magnetic or low-magnetic objects. The present paper is devoted to one of methods of object magnetic moment measuring, and of improving corresponding measuring tools.
