Abstract
In this paper we present an idea of using analog optical links as elements microwave oscillators. Advantages of an optically improved microwave oscillator are presented, together with the methodology of describing an analog optical links using scattering matrices. Finally, an idea of an analog optical link in configuration of microwave photonic filter for microwave oscillators is presented as well its measurement results.
