Abstract
The paper aims to present an analytic evaluation of a Medical Grade Network for the purpose of the Clinic for Pediatric Surgery in Plovdiv. It presents the design of the network based on the security and throughput needs of the organization and the requirements of Medical grade Networks. It also presents a method to analytically obtain the maximum delays for the critical services´ based on the mathematical apparatus of deterministic Network Calculus and its ability to foreseen the delay boundaries in a network knowing the traffic envelopes and the services provided by the network elements. Using the presented method and defining the traffic classes in the network and their characteristics´ the delay boundaries for the designed network are obtained. Results can be used as a basis for further configuration tuning of the network devices and for defining parameters of QoS policy´ suitable for the network.
