Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to give an insight into an informatization and automation solution that in itself generated new problems. The paper describes a case study on the administrative applications used at the Polytechnic of Zagreb and proposes a solution for interfacing them. It shows how a lack of simple feature can make a system unusable and initiate a complex improvising solution to deal with it. The methods proposed are based on open-source and education licensed software and can be used in similar situations. The future implementation upgrade is proposed in the conclusion.
