Abstract :
E-learning is perceived as an important aspect of current educational processes and has been receiving an increasing interest from Croatian educational institutions. In spite of a plethora of studies on that topic in Croatia, empirical research on the actual usage of different e-learning artifacts is still missing. This paper presents the findings of an exploratory survey conducted as part of a large-scale study on e-learning systems usability. The survey was conducted among students from three tertiary educational institutions and teachers from four universities and two polytechnics. The research results provide insights into the profiles of e-learning users and identify experiences and usage preferences/patterns concerning different e-learning artifacts such as e-learning tools and technologies.
