Abstract :
This paper proposes a flow-table lookup mechanism which improves lookup performance by automatic maintenance of exact match flow table based on a result of wildcard flow table lookup. The proposed mechanism can speed-up the average lookup time six-fold compared to the current wildcard-aware flow table lookup on the Internet traffic.
