Abstract :
We propose a misconnect detection method which is based on SOP modulation and uses a modulation frequency as an optical path identifier. A 1 Hz spaced identifier frequency assignment was experimentally confirmed without any signal degradation by using a Si-photonics based CDC-ROADM and a 100 Gbps PM-QPSK digital coherent transceiver.
